Lonnie Holley w/ Nelson Patton & Indré Jurgelevičiūtė

Lonnie Holley is a self-taught musician, visual artist and visionary storyteller whose work defies boundaries. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1950, Holley transforms memories of hardship, injustice and resilience into deeply moving art. His music moves freely between improvisation, jazz, soul and experimental sound, carried by a voice that is at once fragile, powerful and unmistakably his own. Raw, poetic and full of humanity, his performances are never quite the same twice. Through his boundless imagination and generosity, Holley reminds us of the transformative power of art: to heal, to connect and to find beauty and hope in the most unexpected places.
