Following the evening curated by Diana, a.k.a. Soundcute, and Yannick Franck at Pilar, we had the opportunity to ask the Brussels-based programmer and label owner a few questions. To our surprise, we learned that this was Diana's first interview, and we feel honored to share this moment with her! :)
What binds Diana and Yannick is their passion for radical sound, leftfield, and alternative music. Together, they tirelessly work to create more space and find new stages for a challenging, forward-thinking music scene in Brussels.
At Pilar, they curated a lineup that brings together various forms of electronic music, perfectly reflecting the diversity of their vision.
"The line-up shows a lot of variety. We have a combination of very pleasant, danceable electronic music." – Diana

Nik Colk Void brings a distinctive sound that hovers between techno, club, and noise. She has built an enormous global reputation as an electronic musician constantly seeking new ways to create music. Through her bands Factory Floor, Carter, Tutti, Void, and NPVR (with Peter Rehberg), she has released groundbreaking work through labels such as Mute, DFA, Blast First, and Editions Mega.
"Nik Colk Void is a brilliant musician, I truly respect her, and I’m really happy to have her here in Brussels." – Diana
Ghost Dubs offers a refreshing take on dub, far removed from its classical roots. His music is danceable, yet strange, deep, and intriguing.
"Ghost Dubs is far away from classical dub music. It’s nice, danceable music, but also so weird, strange, and interesting—quite deep." – Diana
Ghost Dubs released Damaged last year via The Bug’s label PRESSURE, and the album was immediately regarded as a milestone. The British magazine The Wire named it the best dub album of 2024. Recently, the extended version of this legendary work was released.
"It’s the first time he plays in Belgium, so it’s a real must to see him." – Diana
The evening kicks off with a performance by MT Gemini, Yannick's own project. He blends influences from early ska, boss reggae, rocksteady, and dancehall into a hypnotic, powerful sound that you won't soon forget.
