Pilar

art studios, rehearsal room and breeding ground for creative rebellion

Pilar has provided three types of spaces in one of the buildings on site: three studio spaces, a rehearsal studio and a multipurpose space. After an open call in the spring of 2019, we welcomed three promising artists in the studio spaces who will have had the space to their disposal for a year: Bart Lescrève, Nina Van Denbempt and Juan Pablo Plazas. The basement of the building has been transformed into a rehearsal studio that can be rented at democratic rates.

The third type of spaces in Barak Lili M is a multipurpose area: a breeding ground for creative rebellion. Pilar aims to provide a place where young entrepreneurs can let wild ideas mature and grow. In addition, this space is not only a physical workplace, but Pilar can also support youngster by offering customized guidance. For example: Pilar can help build network connections, but can also provide logistical support.
