Album Release Brussels: 'Day Trip to the Petting Zoo’ + support The Jiggling Buttercups

Near the end of January, the second album of Brussels based indie rock band Barely Autumn will drop on LAB Music (Eefje de Visser, De Staat, I am Oak). Far from an autumn tide this talent is, cause the second album "Day Trip to the Petting Zoo" sounds more edgy, sharper and more up-to-date than ever before. From bass-synth-based pop noir, to exciting art-rock to pure mellotron melancholy: Barely Autumn transcends genres and digs to the essence. Throw Car Seat Headrest, Eels, Strand or Oaks and - yes - even Dj Shadow in the blender and you will be served the straightforward approach of Barley Autumn. Pure songs on topics directly taken from life. "Day Trip to the Petting Zoo" is a record about emptiness and frustration without falling into sadness. A record for and by confused millennials looking for their place in the world. Music straight from the heart.

The Jiggling Buttercups

A crazy band with a colorful groove. The Jiggling Buttercups is a Brussels indiepop and hypno-pop band founded in 2017 by Joseph Soto (songwriter/vocals). The band mixes the poetic sound from the sixties with a bit of craziness: think of influences like The Velvet Underground, MGMT and Foxygen. In 2019 they released their first self-produced album " Shakespeare on The Roof ". The album consists of pleasant and fresh music with a retro side.
