Lamina is the moniker of French artist Clarice Calvo-Pinsolle. In Basque mythology, it is a half-human, half-animal spirit that dwells in the forest. Essentially a nocturnal creature, it lives in caves and close to water sources and creeks. In the same way, Lamina’s music is swampy and growling, a living and ever-evolving imaginary ecosystem. Textures, effects and field-recordings blend together in a simple manner creating these personal landscapes. She released tapes on label such Complex Holidays, Mus, Joutra, Orila, Mappa, and her first LP was just released on Twin System.

CEM’s unique brand of emotive hysteria was forged in Herrensauna’s hedonistic Berlin furnace in the last few years, and as one of the party’s three core members, he has been at the heart of the operations since its inception. With a preference for UK-tweaked tracks from across the contemporary milieu of harder club works, nor with a fear of breakbeats or sullen moments, he’s a rare species of DJ that seeds intensity in even the most hesitant of movers.

His own music is far from the club-ready productions he selects in his DJ sets. These are delicate, vertiginous works of sound art that wilt when touched. 'Music for Spaces,' CEM's first release of his own, is far from melodies or tunes. Manipulated guitar, scant pianos, field recordings, and rococo orchestral arrangements converge into environments that literally evolve with every listen.
