A living legend of ambient and cosmic vibration is coming to Pilar.
Sonic alchemist.
Laughter meditation guide.
Known for his many releases and his collaborations with Brian Eno, his music is not simply a concert, it is a state of being.
A gentle expansion of time.
A remembering of joy & light within yourself...

Having shared space and sound last summer, NiXiE and Laraaji are kindred spirits meeting at the intersection of vibration, devotion, and play.
What unfolds this evening is not just a lineup, but a resonance between two frequencies in dialogue.

Karolien Polenus is a Brussels-based interdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of sound, resonance, and consciousness. With a background in cultural anthropology and deep roots in music — as DJ NiXiE and curator — she has shaped Brussels’ underground scene for over fifteen years.
Her practice evolved from DJ sets and concert programming into an autonomous sonic language where stillness, texture, and vibration converge. Listening is central to her work: she creates focused spaces where sound can breathe, inviting embodied encounters and exploring resonance as presence and connection.
Last year, she presented siREn cAlls with us, merging live voice and spatial sound. After working together last summer, she invited Laraaji to Brussels. Tonight, she opens the evening with a live set, gently preparing the space for his concert.

Based in New York City, Laraaji began playing music on the streets in the 1970s, improvising trance-inducing jams on a modified autoharp processed through various electronic effects. Influential British musician and record producer Brian Eno saw him playing one night in Washington Square Park and invited him to record an album of ambient music at his studio.
Laraaji went on to release a prolific series of albums for a wide variety of labels, many of which he recorded himself at home and sold as cassettes during his street performances. In recent years his profile has enjoyed a renaissance via a series of new and reissued recordings on the All Saints label, as well as worldwide performances, laughter meditation workshops and deep listeningsessions.
