Jazz Music for Nostalgic Explorers
20:15 / One Frame Movement
The obstinate alliance of keys, double bass, and percussion, One Frame Movement, excels in driving and colourful compositions. The young jazz trio exudes warm-blooded playing pleasure and draws inspiration from electronic orientations, classical music, indie, and other unexpected sources. The band combines lush melodic themes with whimsical rhythmic soundscapes, which they deconstruct live through improvisation and consternation. In addition to their live shows, the trio has composed live soundtracks for silent films and music for contemporary dance. In a short time, the band released two warmly received EPs, with a third release currently in the works. Lefto also included them in his musical sampler 'Lefto Presents Jazz Cats 2'.

"According to us, One Frame Movement can easily be cataloged alongside GoGo Penguin, Portico Quartet, and De Beren Gieren. [...] Curious about what these gentlemen have planned to shake out of their virtuoso sleeves next - it will undoubtedly continue to be exciting." - Indiestyle

21:30 / Mobilhome
Mobilhome is a jazz quintet based in Brussels formed around pianist
Camille-Alban Spreng. Following the over kitch statement: "music is
where your home is", they lead the listener on a stony countryside
path, full of dangerous turns and smoggy landscapes. This is avantgarde
jazz music for nostalgic pop-rock boomers, or birdsongs lovers.
Beside Camille-Alban Spreng, the band features Sam Comerford on
tenor saxophone who plays the role of the lead singer here; Vitja
Pauwels on guitar, mostly noise; Lennart Heyndels on bass and Théo
Lanau on drums.
