Nightlife
Terminal Techno presents Hypnoskull, Elaina Vierce & OPS
Fri 09 Dec 2022To close down 2022 we venture deep into the Brussels electronic music cluster, we aim to explore all quadrants of the technosphere and beyond.
We do this with modular techno forces such as Hypnoskull (Ant-Zen records, Anti-Techno,...) , Elaina Vierce (CTL, Kitokat records,... ), Outsider Perception Syndrome (Subsist records, ...), Sekter 4 (Voltkick) and Phanom (C12, Mentality, ...).
HYPNOSKULL (Live)
« Techno became the soundtrack provided by good looking people who strive to make their business plans succeed in clubs that degraded themselves from laboratories to corporate boxes of emptiness. »
June 2022 marked the 30th anniversary of Patrick Stevens' project Hypnoskull. Rooted in the aftermath of the first wave of industrial music and the humid warehouses of the early techno scene of the nineties.
One of the pioneers to combine industrial music with techno resulting in legendary releases on the German cult-label ant-zen, numerous live performances all over the globe in iconic clubs like CBGB’s New York, Rex club Paris and KitKat Berlin.
This one-man project is as unpredictable as the ideology behind it: a lo-fi, harsh, monotone assault of political thoughts, subversive rants and sheer emotional outbursts towards a society first questioned, deconstructed, destroyed and left behind without perspective.
Music as a weapon and as a tool for self-dissection.
ELAINA VIERCE
« As disturbing as the idea of a trip from the cave to the water hole and back »
A non ordinary insight into how the machinery of the universe may actually work. A live set full of new material and sounds from the Argentinian born artist.
OUTSIDER PERCEPTION SYNDROME (Live)
« Techno doesn't need popstars »
Wielding the power of modular synths while harnessing intuition of live performance, each OPS liveset is a trip where nothing is programmed.
SEKTER 4
« Belgian Kicks - Hard Kicks »
Founder of the collective Voltkick, Sekter 4 is a veteran of the Brussels Electronic Music scene. Both in the studio and in front of a crowd he delivers energetic music feeding off the listener's vibe.
PHANOM
« Constantly challenged by the vanity of Time and Space »
Member of the C12 and Mentality f amily, Phanom immerses you in a realm that oscillates between the dream state and reality. She shapes her DJ sets like a ride to your inner self, from darkness to light, to lose yourself in ether.

2022 marks their rebirth.
A new logo, fresh graphic chart and updated values mark a new beginning. The health crisis, balance ton bar, the launch of BBNF. Plenty of old and new problems have been shaking the scene to its core. This made Terminal Techno reflect on their club nights and set new priorities.
- For a healthy and lasting recovery. Reconnecting the public with artists on the local scene is essential.
- Safety, equal representation and honest communication are imperative. A big part of time and budget will be spent on hosting educational and safe events.
- Going the extra mile. To create something immersive for their guests and family. An audiovisual experience combining the local scene, and the occasional international guests they cherish on a personal level.
