Inspired by bands as Disfear, Tragedy, … and composed of (ex-)members of Reproach, Sunpower, Forge, Rich Widows, The Struggle, Dead End Sin, Outline, Star Visitors, … With ferocious red eyes, their blood boiling in their veins and possessed by the spirit of Priester Daens and Paul van Ostaijen. 

Given our context, it should come as no surprise that PILAR has a penchant for bands that draw inspiration from literary and academic texts to fuel their own creative work. Enter TERZIJ DE HORDE, a band known for drawing inspiration from the works of Hendrik Marsman and many other authors and philosophers in the same dark, vitalistic spirit. Rooted in the doom city of Utrecht, Terzij de Horde has always sought not to limit themselves by genres per se. Over the years, there have always been elements of black metal, progressive doom, chaotic screamo, and extreme hardcore. But what you absolutely cannot ignore, and we assure you of this right now, is their intense live performance: just like their music, it's a deeply rooted, raw, honest emotional deluge.
