Kotskat was born illegally in a bunker in Berchem during the lockdown on January 30, 2021 and 8 guitarists and a bassist later appeared in public for the first time in the Kinky Star during the Gentse Feesten on July 14, 2023. Playing live a lot turned the sloppy no wave punk band into a slightly less sloppy no wave punk band with lyrics that link the political to the personal in a sometimes funny, sometimes angry but always loving way.

This results in a solid cocktail of manic vocal outbursts, pumping drums and screeching guitar lines. WASTE mùst be seen live. Their live shows are bursting with energy.
