PILAR is an open artistic laboratory in Brussels on the VUB Main Campus in Etterbeek. You can rent our location for your own activity or event. On this page you can read everything you need to know as a tenant.

The PILAR BOX is our multi-purpose black box and is located on the ground floor of the Pilar Building. The BOX has a capacity of 300 people (standing) or 90 people seated (extendable stand).  

The PILAR BOX is suitable for events such as concerts, theater, parties, lectures, debates, screenings, etc.

Pilar is easily accessible to visitors by public transport. Etterbeek station, metro stops Pétillon and Hankar, tram stops VUB and Arsenaal and bus stops Arsenaal and Etterbeek Station are within walking distance. For those coming by car, Pilar is easily accessible via the Brussels ring road. There are also (underground) parking facilities available.

If you wish to rent the PILAR BOX for your event and make an effective request, please complete the application form and return it to: pilar.verhuur@vub.be. Specify the period during which you wish to rent, and a PILAR staff member will propose the available rental dates to you.
