Your job content

As a music promoter and communication officer, on the one hand you will be responsible for the development of an exciting and diverse music program. The other half of your job is devoted to communicating the offerings to Pilar's various audiences.

Your operational tasks:

- You will put together an exciting, varied, challenging and fresh program that strengthens and broadens Pilar's music operation among our diverse (youth) target audience;
- You are responsible for contacting agents, artists and our wide music network; 
- You manage your own artistic and production budget. You perform administrative tasks related to the music programming;
- You play a key role in the preparation of concert announcements; 
- You follow up the production of concerts and nightlife events; 
- You follow up on ticket sales and help think about its expansion; 
- Together with your colleague, you are responsible for the implementation of Pilar's communication strategy. You are responsible for the following tasks: content creation website (events, blog, festival page, ...); layout and distribution of newsletters; development and realization of new promotional opportunities and actions; 
- You are skilled in managing social media channels and have a basic understanding of tools and strategies we can apply. In addition, you are a creative inspiration for digital communications and support your colleague in developing engaging and quality content; 
- You are independently responsible for the preparation, organization, supervision and evaluation of small-scale communication projects.

Your skills

- You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience;
- You breathe music and have in-depth knowledge of the local, national and international music scene;
- You know which innovative projects, collectives or (sub)genres are becoming the next thing for young people. From experimental to pop, your music taste knows no traditional genre restrictions;
- You have experience in organising concerts and bookings; 
- You have knowledge of financial project management / preparing concert costings;
- You are willing to regularly work evenings and weekends; 
- You are sociable and communicative, working smoothly both independently and in a team; 
- You get energy from giving young talent opportunities;
- You are available at short notice; 
- You have a good knowledge of English and Dutch. Knowledge of French is a strong plus;
- You find your way to and through Brussels easily;
- You are a thorough negotiator;
- You are flexible, assertive and stress-resistant;
- You are in possession of a driving licence B.
