17:30 / Karaoke session by Pushing Hands
Pushing Hands Collective 推手屯 is a multi-disciplinary team of five—Ching Shu, Johanne, Many, Zepph, and Di—working across performance, visual arts, sound, and anthropology. As part of Brussels-based St1ckyr1ce, the collective supports Asian-specific projects, research, and community building. Inspired by the martial arts practice of “pushing hands,” they use it as a metaphor and compass, integrating workshops, communal tool-making, cooking, mapping, and dance music. Through their Pushing Hands Gatherings, they explore care, identity, migration, and belonging for Asian communities, while occasionally welcoming allies. Their transnational roots span Taiwan, China, Singapore, Switzerland, France, and Belgium, reflecting histories and identities in between cultures.

19:00 / Fatoosan
Fatoosan
Fatoosan, eclectic DJ and curator,  is one of the founders of the first Belgian female hip hop crew SUPAFLY COLLECTIVE. Between 2009 and 2022, they added a female touch to the Belgian nightlife and curated parties focusing on female artists. The team had regular radio shows on Brussels’ stations Bruzz and Kiosk Radio. With a real passion for music and influenced by various genres, Fatoosan will take you on a journey that can balance the bass of rap, dubstep or future beats with soulfull house, broken beat, soul or Afro-Latin rhythms from the 60s-70s.

20:30 / Loto Retina
Loto Retina
With the 2019 release of "Fiction" on Orange Milk Records, Loto Retina cemented their reputation for sonic evolution. Their live shows are a singular journey, where speed, spontaneity, and fantasy converge. Crowds are swept up in a soundscape of struck, scraped, and caressed percussion, inhabited by otherworldly, semi-human vocalizations. Samples dart and tumble unpredictably, like mischief-filled cartoons come to life.

21:30 / sophew
sophew
sophew is a DJ that explores the different genres of bass and ambient music. They are the co-founderof the bass music collective MESSe BASSe. They are also a performer and conceptual artist. Their sound research explores instances of 'hysteria' and de-individuation. They are interested in collective moments of joy, and the capacity of sound in facilitating movement. sophew often works communally,  particularly with those that do not necessarily consider themselves artists. They are in search of chance and exchange; living through practices grounded in a present and generous sense of place.

After weeks of gatherings, meals, and activations, Setting the Table comes to a close. It does so not with an ending, but with a turn. Please join us for Flipping the Table, a festive closing event that welcomes you to revisit the exhibition one last time. To walk through the space, browse the leaflets and memories, and linger among its traces.

From 17h30 we move to PILAR box for a karaoke session hosted by Pushing Hands <3 Please register through the link in bio if you have song requests! Later in the evening, the celebration continues with performances of Loto Retina, Fatoosan, and sophew. Expect a night of fast-changing rhythms, unexpected textures, and vivid soundscapes that blur fantasy and movement.

!!! As the event centres queer and POC voices, we ask that only those who self-identify with or stand in alliance with these communities attend. Please be mindful of whom you invite and how you share our event. Throughout the night, stay attuned to your surroundings, respect others’ space, and practice consent and accountability in all interactions. !!!
