On the hottest day of the summer in Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant, tensions are about to boil over.

From visionary filmmaker Spike Lee comes Do the Right Thing — a bold, electrifying story of one neighborhood, one block, and one choice that can change everything.

When Mookie (Spike Lee), a young delivery man for Sal’s Pizzeria, weaves through the streets, he encounters a vibrant mix of voices: elders on the corner, activists, DJs, and families trying to survive the heat. But as the temperature rises, so do conflicts.

With an all-star cast including Danny Aiello, Ossie Davis, Ruby Dee, Rosie Pérez, John Turturro, Giancarlo Esposito, and Samuel L. Jackson, this film pulses with music, color, and raw emotion. Cinematographer Ernest Dickerson captures the  atmosphere, while Public Enemy’s anthems set the rhythm of a block on the edge.

Do the Right Thing is more than a film — it’s a challenge, a conversation, and a call to action. As the credits roll, audiences are left with two voices: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. urging peace, and Malcolm X affirming self-defense. Between them lies the question that still burns today: What does it mean to do the right thing?
