With RITEN, Lien and Tim dive again into the oeuvre of filmmaker Ingmar Bergman. After their first adaptation After the rehearsal, selected for #nieuwjong at the TheaterFestival 2021, they are once again firmly adapting the filmmaker's scenario to their own needs. While playing, they go in search of a reinterpretation that refers to the practices in the theater and the world far beyond. Armed with humour, daring and playful eroticism, this duo makes Bergman relatable.

Tim Bogaerts (1993) graduated in 2016 from the acting course of the Theater Academy Maastricht. As a player he operates at the intersection of repertoire, movement and performance. Tim played for companies such as NTGent, KVS, De Warme Winkel and playField. In the current season, Tim can be seen in Scattered Memories by Ultima Vez/Wim Vandekeybus and Hunters & Collectors by Voetvolk.

Lien Thys (1993) graduated in 2018 from the RITCS play school. As an actress she is fascinated by the intimate tension between the player(s) and the audience. She played for companies such as Lazarus, Abattoir Fermé, hetpaleis, Het Nationale Theater and De Mannschaft. In the current season, Lien will perform in Apenverdriet by Arne Sierens and FEED ME PLEASE by Bronks and Theater Antigone.

Lien Thys and Tim Bogaerts got to know each other during Montignards#3, the development process for new theater makers at Monty Kultuurfaktorij. There they first came into contact with the work of Ingmar Bergman. After the rehearsal to Bergman's film of the same name, they were selected for #nieuwjong at Het Theaterfestival 2021. In 2023 they will make and perform their second Bergman adaptation RITEN.
