For Rubbing Shoulders #2, LuCi invites Esther Carlin, an artist and filmmaker from Naarm (Melbourne) living in Brussels. Esther will share more about her work through a conversation with fellow artist and filmmaker Alex Reynolds. The evening will continue with a screening of Esther Carlin's experimental documentary the ghost of Mr. Bawky (2025).  

‘the ghost of Mr Bawky’ is a portrait of the artist's father that merges fiction and reality to examine the place of silence in Australian life. The film approaches the taboo of suicide, creating a loop between the past and present in order to illuminate the ghosts left inside a house.
