Open call: curation Opening exhibition 2025-2026

For the opening exhibition of the 2025-2026 season, we are launching an open call for collectives. The exhibition will run from September 25, 2025, to October 23, 2025. The selected collective will curate an exhibition in Pilar’s gallery space, along with a complementary public program.  A jury will review all submitted proposals and create a shortlist of five projects, the shortlisted collectives will be invited to present their projects in April 2025, after which the final selection will be made.  

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐖𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫  

- An artistic and production budget  
- Workspace and working time at Pilar from **June to September 2025**  
- Tailored support, including coaching, materials, technical assistance, and communication support  

𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚  

- Your collective consists of at least 3 members, with the majority under 30 years old
- Your project aligns with Pilar’s mission  
- The collective or its working method has a connection to Brussels  
- Proposals will be evaluated based on feasibility, originality, and relevance  

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲  

Your application should be submitted as a single PDF document containing:  
- Practical details of all collective members: name, date of birth, email address, and phone number
- A presentation of the collective and a motivation letter explaining why you want to take part  
- Exhibition title (working title)  
- Vision and brief concept description  
- Indication of which aspects of your collective you would like to further develop during this project
