Every summer, deBuren takes young language artists to Paris. There, they have the opportunity
to spend two weeks working on new material, getting to know each other's work and ideas, and engaging in conversation with guest speakers from the literary field and the media landscape. Before, during, and after the residency, the artists work with an editor to refine their work.

The writing residency is a talent development programme for creators whose work focuses on the spoken or written word, such as writers of prose, poetry, YA, essays and theatre, spoken word artists, slam poets and word artists, comic book authors, radio producers and (investigative) journalists.

Who? You write in Dutch and are at least 18 and no older than 30 years of age on 30 June 2026.
What? You are working on new material: one free contribution and one commissioned text.
Where? Stichting Biermans-Lapôtre, Paris.
When? You are available for the entire period, from 15 to 29 July 2026.
How? Send us your application file by Tuesday 17 February at 10:00 a.m. (Brussels time) at the latest.
